We’re thrilled to share the success of our latest charity initiative: The Beesure Black Mountains Challenge! Following the incredible success of our Brecon 10 & 4 Peaks, we took on a new, ambitious circular trek through some of the most breathtaking peaks bordering the Black Mountains, including the Skirrid, the Sugar Loaf, and the Blorenge, all in one day!

The Challenge

On Saturday the 30th May, the Beesure team, along with our incredible friends and family, took on:

• Distance: 20.3 miles

• Elevation Gain: 5,226ft

• Time: 8 hours of relentless trekking

The Route

Why We Walked

The Beesure Black Mountains Challenge this year was held to raise funds for our dear friend, Luke Rossiter. A few weeks prior, Luke, a 36-year-old father to two incredible children, received a life-altering diagnosis of Stage 3 Cancer. Amidst this daunting news, Luke began preparations for an immense challenge – to sail solo across the Atlantic Ocean in his own sailboat.

We raised funds with our walk to help Luke prepare for his journey and to support his chosen charities, Cancer Research UK and REST.

This wasn’t just about sailing; it was about finding strength in adversity, and showing his children that even when life takes an unexpected turn, you can still move forward with courage and purpose. With treatment having begun in February this year, Luke hopes to attempt his crossing by December 2026 or 2027. Luke’s story is one of incredible courage and resilience, and we were honored to walk in support of his Atlantic Solo Challenge.
