Beesure Brecon 10 & 4 Peaks Challenge

On Saturday, 3rd May, 2025, the Beesure team, along with family and friends, took on the Beesure Brecon 10 & 4 Peaks Challenge, hiking multiple peaks across the breath-taking Brecon Beacons – all in just one day – to raise money for our chosen charity, Mind.

The Challenge: Brecon 10 & 4 Peaks

The Beesure team tackled the Brecon 10 Peaks Challenge – a 36.7km hike with an elevation gain of 1,790m. It was estimated to take around 12 hours and 59 minutes, however, the team completed it in around 10 hours and 30 minutes! Some of the major peaks included Corn Du, Cribyn, and the highest mountain in South Wales – Pen y Fan. It was a demanding but rewarding experience!

The route began at Pont Gyhirych Viaduct, near the A4067—an old railway line close to Fan Gyhirych. From there, the team ascended the first peak, Fan Nedd, before making their way through Fan Llia, Fan Dringarth, Fan Frynych, Craig Cerrig Gleisaid.

At the bottom of Corn Du our 4 peakers joined us to summit Corn Du and Pen y Fan. The team then continued across Cribyn, Fan y Big, and  Bwlch y Ddwyallt. The challenge concluded at the northern edge of Talybont Reservoir, the largest still-water reservoir in the Brecon Beacons.

The Reason We Walked

At Beesure, one of our core values is Community First – we strive to support those around us however we can. This challenge was not just about endurance; but about raising funds and awareness for Mind, a vital mental health organisation.

Mind provides supported housing, counselling, and mental health training, but these essential services rely on funding and fundraising efforts like this. By taking on the Brecon 10 & 4 Peaks Challenge, we helped to make a difference.

We are proud to share that the final total raised for Mind is £2,530. These funds will support the charity’s ongoing mission to provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. More Than Just a Hike

This Beesure Brecon 10 & 4 Peaks Challenge wasn’t just about raising money – it was also an opportunity to come together as a team beyond the workplace, strengthen bonds, and support each other outside of a professional setting.
