Pensions and retirement

Enjoying your golden years

It’s never too late or too early to start planning for later life. The difficulty is often simply understanding the right steps to take. Whether you’re years away from retirement, already retired, or somewhere in between, you’ll get the expert support you need from us.

As our client, you’ll get unrestricted advice from experienced advisers who specialise in helping people through retirement. With our help, you’ll create a personalised plan that takes care of everything, so you can concentrate on the things that really matter.

Pension Contributions

Your questions, answered

How much do I need to retire?

Search the internet, and you’ll find all manner of frameworks and calculations for working out how much money you need in retirement. Really, though, the first thing you need to know is how you want to spend your time once you’ve left work.

Thinking about how many holidays a year you might want to take, or whether you intend to help children with their wedding or education, makes planning easier. Our advisers can use this information to show you how much you ought to save, and help you stay on track to achieve this.

Should I combine my pensions?

There are pros and cons to consolidating multiple pensions into one fund. On the one hand, it may give you more opportunities to grow your money and be easier to keep track of. On the other hand, you may miss out on valuable benefits or face hefty fees.

The key point with pension consolidation, like so much else, is that what’s right for someone else won’t necessarily be right for you. When you work with our pension specialists, you’ll get a plan that’s tailored to your unique circumstances, so you feel confident about your choices.

What type of income can pensions provide?

You’ve now got more flexibility than ever in accessing retirement funds, thanks to Pension Freedoms legislation introduced by the government in 2015. But pension rules are complicated, so it’s wise to get professional advice before taking any action.

With us, you’ll get clear, straightforward explanations of the options available, from a friendly team with your best interests at heart. We’ll take into account your personal ambitions as well as your financial position to deliver a solution that’s right for you.

Which documents would you need from me?

If you have existing pensions and savings accounts in place, it’d be useful for us to have the account numbers of where funds are stored. We’ll also need standard ID and proof of address.

There’s nothing to worry about, though. In your first meeting with your dedicated Beesure adviser, they’ll carefully talk you through each stage of the process, including what’s required of you. Whatever you decide, they’ll make it happen, and keep you in the loop every step of the way.
